Apple’s Next Generation Retina Macbook Pro Now Shipping From Apple Online Store

After a 2 hour hiatus the online Apple Store is now back & has been updated with all new models of the Macbook Pro (including the Retina 15″ model) & Macbook Air. You can compare models & buy online now. The new Retina Macbook Pro 15″ models also include flash storage (similar to the Macbook Air I’m guessing?) in 256GB & 512GB standard & configurable to 768GB! The “Next Generation Macbook Pro”, as Apple has dubbed it, has a new slimmer profile, no optical drive & flash storage similar to the Macbook Air.

The Retina Macbook Pro sells for $2199 for the base model & $2799 for the high end, with available upgrades adding to those base prices. Configure to Order [CTO] up to 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 (Turbo Boost up to 3.7GHz), 16GB memory upgrade & 768GB of flash storage. With all upgrades a CTO Retina Macbook Pro will set you back $3749.00 USD, or about 1-2 months salary for most people.
